This 8 week weight training program designed for beginner to intermediate participants will challenge and gradually advance specific fitness goals and/or skills. Focus will be on form, weight selection, and program development.

The Excelsior Springs Community Center believes kids should be able to act like kids. They also believe fun environments are especially conducive to the kind of learning that prepares them for life’s adventures. They give children a safe and inspiring space to direct their energy, build confidence, and develop key skills. This open play time has an array of toys and will also teach your child how to interact with others their age.

Four Horses and a Dog Hosts a Grape Harvest & Live Music by Lauryn VonAhnen – Saturday, August 21
The first grape harvest of the season is on Saturday, August 31 starting at 9 a.m.! This is a free family friendly event and they hope you can make it out.
Enjoy some wine at Four Horses and a Dog featuring Lauryn VonAhnen, a 17 year old singer and songwriter from Overland Park, KS. Lauryn has being playing and writing music since age six. She plays and writes pop, county, and Americana style music.

Enjoy a tour of the property, vineyards, and the winery. Learn about Fence Stile’s wines, the winery’s history, Brix (testing the sugar level in grapes), vineyard management, and terroir of the estate. Finish with a candlelit tasting in the CELLAR57 club room and the wine caves.

Stretch & Sip: My Son & Moon Yoga and Wine – Saturday, August 31st at 12:30pm-1:30pm
Join Gigi Kammerer for yoga at the Fence Stile Vineyards and Winery; a 60-minute, yoga flow in an idyllic setting amongst the rolling hills and fields of the vineyards. Spend some time reconnecting with the earth during this all-levels class ($18) as we will gently flow through a series of poses with the intention of being mindful of and connecting to our surroundings. After class, stay and enjoy a glass of wine Sangria or wine tasting (5 wines) included in the price of your ticket. There will be mats available but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have one! Keep an eye on the events page for any up-dates due to inclement weather.
