At first glance, it may appear too hard. Look again, always look again.
Started part of my day meeting with the wonderful ladies who are heading up the Middle School’s PTO this year while enjoying lattes at The Mug.
Drove to Clinton, Missouri with my mom to visit with their hospital about a grant opportunity for a new EICU hospital bed and robots that would provide direct access to health specialists through technology. They are in a very rural area, so when they refer people to specialists, they’re having to send them in to Kansas City, well over a half hour away. This would allow for their patients to get the special care they need without having to leave home.
I treated Mom to a taste of Pizza Glen before the meeting. It’s a hometown favorite there in Clinton.
I saw an actual pay phone at the hospital and had to take a photo.
Tonight the City had their fundraiser for furniture in the new Golf Course Clubhouse! Kris Bishop made her famous fried chicken and the crowds turned out to support the efforts! By the time we got there at 7:00pm, she already had over 125 tickets, some with multiple orders on just one!
They ran out of white meat chicken, so I opted for the ribs!
Up at the Golf Course, there’s an old cabin that’s been there since 1825. The entire clubhouse was built around it and it’s been kept preserved. When the new clubhouse is built, it will be preserved once again. I love living in a community that understands the importance of saving our treasures from the past.
