For Diane Rochelle, making people feel good about themselves is nothing new. In opening her new salon in downtown Excelsior Springs, Luxurious Lashes is meant to be a place where people come to relax. Working with her sister Lisa Brown, who serves as the front desk manager, the ladies are eager to help both men and women, providing last extensions, tints and waxing services.
Rochelle is not new to the downtown and has actually been offering services at New Age Skincare and Spa for the last seven years. In addition, she has her instructor license and has been teaching part time with a cosmetology school. In 2008 she became certified to do eyelashes and fell in love with them.
“I love the confidence that doing someone’s lashes brings them. The support that we’ve received since opening has been amazing. I’m already booked two weeks out,” Rochelle said. “I never dreamed that at month three I would be thinking about the need to expand.”
If you’re coming in for the first time to have your lashes done, Rochelle says to expect about an hour and half, but touch ups after that take about an hour. She also offers lash and brow tints, henna brow, and lip, chin, and brow wax. They offer specialty tints for men for sideburns, mustaches, goatees, and beards.
