You might be used to hearing the crashing of bowling pins at Tiger Bowl, but there is much more than bowling happening on those striking lanes. Jerry and Teresa Ferrell, the owners of Tiger Bowl in Excelsior Springs know just how much family means. With Easter around the corner, they decided to donate hams to local churches with families in need in Excelsior Springs including – Pisgah Baptist and ES First Assembly of God. This kind gesture comes at a time where family is everything. The coronavirus pandemic is affecting many families across the nation, leaving many without their jobs.
This kindness comes at a time where giving means the most. Some say that Easter could be canceled, but Tiger Bowl doesn’t want that to happen. They know how important Easter is and felt that they could do something to help members of their community who might be struggling. This is not Tiger Bowl’s first time reaching out to help the community. Tiger Bowl has held many benefit tournaments supporting Saint Judes Research Hospital, and first responders in Excelsior Springs and neighboring communities.
It is safe to say that Jerry and Teresa Ferrell know how much it means to support community members most. So, as family time rolls around many families will be able to enjoy good food on their tables and joy in their hearts. Thanks to Jerry and Teresa Ferrell at Tiger Bowl, where the mission is so much more than just great bowling, it is a happier and stronger community.
This was made possible with the help of the bowlers at Tiger Bowl and friends at our local Price Chopper.
