There were a number of announcements made this past week in relation to the spread of COVID-19 in the community. I’ve done a collection of them all as well as included local data from the Clay Co. Health Dept.’s website and the ESSD’s dashboard. For further information, please follow the Clay County Public Health Department’s guidelines.
The Excelsior Springs School District has been very transparent with email alerts as cases happen and a dashboard for tracking overall spread in the schools.
Mid-Continent Public Library continues to monitor the recommendations and guidelines of government and public health officials regarding COVID-19 on a daily basis.
Due to the current increase in cases in the Kansas City metro area, the Library will return to curbside and drive-thru service ONLY at all open branches beginning Monday, November 23.
The following branches are closed currently due to potential COVID-19 exposure:
- Blue Springs South
- Camden Point
- Dearborn
- Edgerton
- Excelsior Springs
- Smithville
- Woodneath Library Center
Announcements will be made when these branches resume curbside and drive-up service only.
The health and safety of you and our staff is our highest priority. Visit mymcpl.org/COVID for details about ongoing precautions.
